1. Scope

This policy applies to the Celvion Scout app for iPhone and iPad and to this official website. It explains what information the app uses to provide location scouting, weather, sun and moon, terrain, planning, AR, sync, and subscription features.

2. Information the app accesses

• Location: approximate or precise location when you ask for nearby places, local weather, sun and moon positions, or location-aware planning.
• Camera and motion: camera imagery and device orientation while the AR planning view is open. Camera images are not uploaded or saved by Celvion Scout.
• Calendar: write-only access only after you choose Add to Calendar, so the app can create the photography-plan event you requested. Celvion Scout does not read your existing calendar events, and the developer does not receive the event you create.
• Places and plans: locations, collections, notes, camera points, and planning choices that you create or save.
• Purchase status: subscription products and entitlement status supplied by Apple through StoreKit. Celvion Scout does not receive your full payment-card details.

You can deny location, camera, or Calendar access in iOS Settings. Browsing and saved content remain available, although location-aware, AR, or Add to Calendar features may be limited.

3. Storage, iCloud, and retention

Private places, collections, and plans are stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, Apple CloudKit stores a private copy in your personal iCloud account so your Celvion Scout devices can stay in sync. The developer does not receive access to your private CloudKit database.

Delete saved items inside the app. Turning off iCloud sync stops further app sync; iCloud data can be managed through your Apple ID storage settings. Removing the app deletes its local container, but does not automatically erase a private iCloud copy or support email.

4. Apple and terrain services

Apple Maps and WeatherKit provide maps, search, directions, and forecasts. Apple EventKit writes a requested plan event to the calendar selected by iOS; whether that calendar syncs through iCloud or another account follows your Apple Calendar settings. App Store purchases are processed by Apple. Apple may handle device, location, weather, calendar, account, and transaction information under its own privacy terms.

Terrain horizon estimates prioritize official USGS services in the United States and Geoscience Australia services in Australia. Elsewhere, or when a regional source has no coverage, the app may request the public Copernicus DEM tile covering the selected area from AWS Open Data. If network sources are unavailable, a coarse NOAA ETOPO model included in the app provides an offline estimate.

Public catalog places may request terrain automatically. For a private place or manually positioned camera point, a network terrain request is made only after you choose Load terrain. USGS or Geoscience Australia receives the requested coordinate; AWS receives the requested one-degree tile area. The developer does not operate a terrain server or receive these requests. Providers may retain connection and request logs under their own privacy terms.

The app may request a signed public place-catalog manifest and payload from this GitHub Pages site. Those requests do not include your saved places, private coordinates, collections, or plans. GitHub may process ordinary connection details and request logs under the privacy statement linked below.

Future-place alerts are one-time local notifications scheduled on your device from forecasts already loaded by the app. Celvion does not operate a push-notification server for these alerts and the app does not load weather in the background for them.

5. What Celvion Scout does not do

• No third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking.
• No sale of personal information.
• No developer-operated account or location-history service.
• No upload of camera imagery from the AR planning view.

6. This website and support email

This website does not provide accounts, display advertising, use analytics, or set tracking cookies. The language preference is kept in your browser and is not sent to the developer.

The site is hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub may process IP addresses, browser details, and request logs to deliver and secure the site under its privacy statement. If you email support, the developer and the relevant email providers process the message you choose to send to answer your request and retain it only as reasonably needed for support, security, or legal obligations.

7. Your choices and controls

• Change location, camera, and Calendar permissions in iOS Settings.
• Delete saved places, plans, and collections inside the app.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscriptions settings.
• Contact the developer to ask about a support email you previously sent.

8. Children, security, and changes

Celvion Scout is not directed to children under 13 and does not ask users to create a developer account. The app relies on the iOS sandbox, system permissions, and Apple security features, but no software can guarantee absolute security.

This policy may change as the app or website changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.

你可以在 iOS“设置”中拒绝位置、相机或日历权限。浏览和已保存内容仍可使用， 但基于位置、AR 或“添加到日历”功能可能受到限制。

三、存储、iCloud 与保留

私人地点、收藏和计划存储在你的设备上。启用 iCloud 同步后， Apple CloudKit 会在你的个人 iCloud 账户中保存私有副本，供你的 Celvion Scout 设备同步。 开发者无权访问你的私有 CloudKit 数据库。

你可以在 App 内删除已保存内容。关闭 iCloud 同步会停止后续同步； iCloud 数据可通过 Apple ID 存储设置管理。卸载 App 会删除本地容器， 但不会自动删除私有 iCloud 副本或此前发送的支持邮件。

四、Apple 与地形服务

Apple 地图和 WeatherKit 提供地图、搜索、路线与天气预报。Apple EventKit 会把你要求创建的 计划日程写入 iOS 选择的日历；该日历是否通过 iCloud 或其他账户同步，取决于你的 Apple 日历设置。 App Store 订阅由 Apple 处理。Apple 可能依据其隐私条款处理设备、位置、天气、日历、账户和交易信息。

地形地平线估算在美国优先使用 USGS 官方服务，在澳大利亚优先使用 Geoscience Australia 服务。 其他地区或区域数据缺失时，App 可能从 AWS 开放数据请求覆盖所选区域的 Copernicus DEM 公共瓦片。 网络来源不可用时，App 内置的低分辨率 NOAA ETOPO 模型会提供离线估算。

公共地点目录可能自动请求地形。对于私人地点或手动放置的相机点， 只有在你选择“载入地形”后才会发出网络请求。USGS 或 Geoscience Australia 会收到所请求的坐标； AWS 会收到所请求的一度瓦片区域。开发者不运营地形服务器，也不会收到这些请求。 服务提供方可能依据自身隐私条款保存连接与请求日志。

App 可能从本 GitHub Pages 网站请求经过签名的公开机位目录清单和数据。 这些请求不会包含你保存的机位、私人坐标、收藏或计划。GitHub 可能依据下方链接的 隐私声明处理常规连接信息和请求日志。

未来机位提醒由设备根据 App 已加载的天气，以一次性本地通知的方式安排。 Celvion 不为此运营推送服务器，App 也不会为这些提醒在后台加载天气。

五、Celvion Scout 不会做什么

• 不包含第三方广告 SDK，不进行跨 App 跟踪。
• 不出售个人信息。
• 不运营开发者账户或位置历史服务。
• 不上传 AR 规划视图中的相机画面。

六、本网站与支持邮件

本网站不提供账户、不展示广告、不使用分析服务，也不设置跟踪 Cookie。 语言偏好保存在你的浏览器中，不会发送给开发者。

本网站由 GitHub Pages 托管。GitHub 可能为提供和保护网站而处理 IP 地址、浏览器信息及请求日志， 具体受其隐私声明约束。 如果你发送支持邮件，开发者及相关邮件服务会处理你主动提供的内容以回复请求， 并只在支持、安全或法律义务合理需要的期限内保留。

七、你的选择与控制

• 在 iOS“设置”中更改位置、相机和日历权限。
• 在 App 内删除已保存的地点、计划和收藏。
• 通过 Apple ID 的订阅设置管理或取消订阅。
• 联系开发者，询问你此前主动发送的支持邮件。

八、儿童、信息安全与政策更新

Celvion Scout 不面向 13 岁以下儿童，也不会要求用户创建开发者账户。 App 依赖 iOS 沙盒、系统权限及 Apple 安全机制，但任何软件都无法保证绝对安全。

本政策可能随 App 或网站变化而更新，页面顶部的生效日期用于标识当前版本。
